The Alianza Flamenca syllabus consists of 7 levels with 2 introductory levels developed specially for children (Curso para Niņos and Preliminario).

The syllabus was designed specifically for teachers and pupils outside of Spain to instruct in compas (rhythmical phrasing) ,technique (feet, arms, body), style for Flamenco dance expression and the use of castanets.

Each level rises in proficiency from Curso Uno (level 1) to Curso Siete (level 7). The lower levels can be completed over the course of a year (attending one or two hour classes per week), while the more advanced levels will require 18-24 months, depending on the existing technique and ability of the student.

On completion of each curso a consulting teacher is invited to add their perspective to a candidate's progress by means of a written report (informe). These assessments are a welcome alternative to formal exam sessions but are not mandatory. A Diploma is awarded at the discretion of each consulting teacher.
